How to see only people you follow on Instagram

Updated 4 November 2026 · By the StillTabs team

Tap the Instagram logo at the top left of your home feed and choose Following: you'll see only accounts you follow, newest first. Instagram opens on its Home feed by default, so you pick Following each time. StillTabs always opens Instagram on the Following feed and removes Reels, Explore and suggested posts, for free.

Instagram's own way

  1. Open your Instagram home feed.
  2. Tap Instagram at the top left.
  3. Choose Following (everyone you follow) or Favorites (a list you pick).

Instagram describes both as chronological feeds of accounts you follow. The app still opens on the regular Home feed by default, with suggested posts mixed in.

Always open on Following

In StillTabs' Standard mode, Instagram always opens on the Following feed. Suggested posts, the Explore grid, the Reels tab and feed autoplay are gone, while stories, DMs and search stay. Strict mode goes further: it removes all Reels and replaces the feed with search.

StillTabs is free on the App Store, for iPhone. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no account. iOS 16 or later.
