Can you turn off Instagram Explore?
No setting turns off Instagram Explore: you can reset it, and you can snooze suggested posts for 30 days, but both come back. StillTabs hides the Explore grid and suggested posts in Standard mode, permanently, and keeps search, so you can still look someone up.
What Instagram lets you do
- Reset suggested content (profile → menu → Content preferences) clears recommendations across Explore, Reels and Feed. They start again from scratch.
- Snooze suggested posts for 30 days from the X on a suggested post. After 30 days they return.
We found no official way to turn Explore off.
Explore gone for good
In StillTabs, Standard mode hides the Explore grid and skips downloading its images at all, while the search box still works. Suggested posts after "You're all caught up" are gone too, and your feed shows only people you follow.
StillTabs is free on the App Store, for iPhone. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no account. iOS 16 or later.
