StillTabs vs UNDOOMED: which Reels blocker should you use?
UNDOOMED is free to download and its free tier applies core filters (Reels, Shorts, Explore and similar) on seven networks, but Messages Only mode, Hide Stories, its 52 advanced filters and more than one account per network need a paid plan ($1.99 to $2.99 a month, or $29.99 for lifetime Pro); StillTabs has no paid plan at all. Both open each network inside their own app and keep your DMs. Pick StillTabs if you want every mode free and up to five accounts per platform; pick UNDOOMED if you need Threads or LinkedIn, time limits, Android or a PIN lock.

Is UNDOOMED free?
Partly, and the free tier is generous. Free gets you all seven networks with one account each, the core filters (Reels, Explore, Shorts and similar), hourly and daily time limits, the 4-digit Parent Lock and a 7-day usage overview. No account or card is needed.
The paid plans add the rest. On the US App Store, Plus costs $1.99 a month or $11.99 a year and adds detailed statistics, colour accents and a second account per network. Pro costs $2.99 a month, $17.99 a year or $29.99 once, and adds 52 advanced filters, including Messages Only, Hide Stories and Hide Sponsored Posts, plus up to five accounts per network. UNDOOMED's website says eligible monthly plans on iOS may include a 3-day trial.

Where StillTabs is better
- Nothing to unlock. Every StillTabs feature is free. In UNDOOMED, a DMs-only view, hiding Stories and more than one account per network need a paid plan.

- A slightly older iOS works. StillTabs needs iOS 16.0; UNDOOMED needs 16.4.
Where UNDOOMED is better
- More networks. UNDOOMED covers Threads and LinkedIn, which StillTabs doesn't, and treats Facebook, X and Reddit as full networks rather than beta.
- Time limits and a PIN lock, free. If you want a daily cap, or a parent wants settings protected, UNDOOMED has both in its free tier. StillTabs has neither.
- Usage numbers. UNDOOMED shows how much you scroll, with a 7-day overview free and longer graphs with Plus. StillTabs shows no stats.
- Android, iPad and 20 languages. StillTabs is iPhone only and in English for now.
- A track record. UNDOOMED has been on the App Store since October 2025, has 108 US ratings averaging 4.3 and was last updated on 22 October 2026. StillTabs is new, with no ratings yet.
What they have in common
Both apps show each network's mobile website inside their own app and filter what that page shows. Neither modifies the official apps, and neither needs an account. Both keep analytics off until you agree to them, and both App Store labels say "Data Not Linked to You".
Neither covers TikTok or Snapchat. UNDOOMED lists both but marks them unavailable, saying their web versions expose too little to filter usefully; StillTabs doesn't support them either.
Which one should you pick?
- You mainly use Instagram and YouTube and want it all free: StillTabs.
- You want Instagram for DMs only without paying: StillTabs' Blackout mode.
- You need Threads, LinkedIn, Android, time limits or a parental PIN: UNDOOMED.
