How to remove Reels from Facebook
Facebook has no setting to turn off Reels; hiding a reel or choosing "show less" only lowers similar ones for a while. StillTabs, which is free, hides Facebook's Reels tab and keeps friends, groups and messages. Facebook support is in beta.
What Facebook's own settings do
- Hide reel, Interested and Not interested change which reels Facebook ranks for you.
- Your algorithm (October 2026) lets you manage topics for Feed and Reels.
- The Feeds and Friends tabs show posts from friends, groups and Pages, but the main feed still mixes in Reels.
- Snooze hides a person or Page for 30 days.
Facebook without the Reels tab, step by step
- Install StillTabs and open the Facebook tile.
- Sign in on Facebook's own page.
- In Standard mode, the Reels tab is hidden.
Friends, groups and messages stay. Facebook support is in beta: it works best with Facebook set to English, and Reels mixed into the main feed can still appear. We're improving it in updates; tell us what slips through at support@stilltabs.com.
StillTabs is free on the App Store, for iPhone. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no account. iOS 16 or later.
