What to check before you subscribe
- It's paid for the full product: pro is $6.99 a month, $19.99 a year or $99.99 lifetime.
- Easy to switch off. one sec's own blog says that only "with iOS 26.4, you can finally lock the screen time permission for one sec with a code", so on earlier iOS versions the permission couldn't be locked.
- It never removes Reels. Once the pause is over, Instagram opens as normal.
- What reviewers mention most. Of the 123 1–2 star reviews among its 500 most recent US reviews (March 2024 to November 2026), 60 mention payment.
To be fair, one sec's privacy practices are clean: its App Store label shows no tracking. Its problem is the approach, not the data.
Which one fits
If your problem is opening apps without meaning to, a pause helps. If your problem is what happens after you open them (one message turns into forty minutes of Reels), you need the Reels gone, and that's what StillTabs does.
